The sale of the space divison of MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates to a U.S. firm was blocked today by the federal government. This move prevented some of Canada's highest space technology such as the Canadarm, Dextre, and Radstat-2 from becoming another country's toys.
Rogers or Bell should totally buy the space division from MDA, after the acquisition they can add a system access fee for the use of their equipments.
